Mini Camp Policies
Health History Form and General Waiver
Prior to registering for camps, each participant must have a 2018-2019 Mini Camp Health History Form and General Waiver on file, which is to be completed online at the time of registration. Without completed and up to date forms, a participant cannot register or participate in camp programs.
Camp Waivers will be available online, at the SRSRC front office, as well as with your child's camp counselor. If your camper is registered for a camp that requires a waiver, make sure to complete the waiver and turn it in to your child's camp counselor. Campers cannot participate in camps that require waivers until a completed waiver is on file.
Please read through the Parent Handbook. This handbook answers many questions frequently asked by parents. When registering a participant, you acknowledge that you have read and understand our policies, including the ones listed in our Parent Handbook.
Campers are required to wear close-toed shoes, such as tennis shoes. Campers may bring sandals to wear at the pool or beach, but must wear close-toed shoes during all other camp activities. Skirts and dresses should not be worn to camp. We will be engaging in activities that require running and some activities that may get messy, so we suggest that campers wear clothing appropriate for their camp activities. If a camper who is participating in an off-site camp, site must wear an SRSRC camp T-shirt. On-site campers are also encouraged to wear their SRSRC camp T-shirt. If an off-site camper does not have a camp T-shirt, they will be given one for a fee of $5.00 to be paid at time of pick-up.
Drop Off Zone
We do not provide drop off zone during mini camps.
In order to keep campers safe in aquatic environments, campers who would like to swim in the deep end must pass a swim assessment. Campers who choose not to take the swim assessment or who do not pass the swim assessment may swim in the shallow end of the pool or play in the wader pool. Some off-site facilities will require campers to pass their facility's swim assessment. For more information regarding the swim assessment, please refer to the Parent Handbook.
Parents are responsible for choosing the accurate pricing during the camp registration process. Please be careful when selecting options, since many options are only available for members or have a discounted rate for members. If it has been found that you have selected options that you are not eligible for, you will be charged the correct amount and be held responsible for paying the difference. Staff members will verify membership status and that selections have been made for which you/your camper are eligible.
Campers will not be able to transfer camps unless requested, authorized, and approved by the Camp Director at least by 12:00noon the Friday prior to the start of the camp session. Mini Camps will be assessed a transfer fee of $5 per day per camper. Once a camper is signed up for a camp session, a transfer fee applies regardless of the timing of the transfer. Transfers requested on the same day of signing up for camps will be assessed the transfer fee. If your camper is registered for a camp and chooses to transfer to a camp for which they are waitlisted when a spot becomes available, the transfer fee will apply.
Mini Camps Refund Policy: If SRSRC must cancel a camp, you will be refunded the entire amount. If you complete a cancellation request with the Aviary Front Office 3 days or more prior to the day of camp being cancelled - SRSRC will grant a refund minus a $10.00 processing fee per day. Less than 3 days prior to the camp day - SRSRC will not grant a refund. If you register for the discounted multiple day option for Mini Camps, you may not cancel individual days. Mini Camps will not receive a refund when cancelling the day of camp, unless a medical note is provided.
Refunds requested on the same day of signing up for camps will follow the refund/cancellation penalties as outlined above.
For mini camps, payment is due at the time of registration. By using your credit card for the registration transaction, you agree to the following: Any additional fees incurred related to SRSRC programs for which you are registering, either now or in the future, will be deducted from the credit card used for this transaction or any credit card associated with your CampBrain account. This is including, but not limited to, cancellation fees, transfer fees, late pick up fees, no lunch fees, no t-shirt fees, and all other charges as outlined in the associated program handbook for camps. Refunds will be credited back to the credit card used for this transaction or any credit card associated with your CampBrain account. Parents are responsible for checking the SRSRC website for itineraries for departure times.
If your child will be absent from camp, please call our Aviary Front Office at (858) 271-6222 or email the Camp Directors by 8:00am. We do not prorate for missed days.

If a camp is full you will be able to place your camper on the waiting list in the CampBrain registration system. If a spot becomes available, a staff member will notify you with a courtesy call. Placing your camper on a waiting list does not guarantee enrollment. There is no fee associated with placing your camper on the waiting list. If your camper is registered for a camp and chooses to transfer to a camp for which they are waitlisted when a spot becomes available, the transfer fee will apply.
For Mini Camps we will be utilizing our camp vans. Our drivers follow American Camp Association guidelines.
